Nanostart at NanoEquity Europe 2008

  • Nanostart and its portfolio companies to present at Europe’s largest capital markets event
  • Nanostart co-organizer of the leading forum for nanotechnology and investment
  • NanoEquity Europe as a proven model for success transfer to Asia

Frankfurt, October 22, 2008 - Nanostart AG is serving as co-organizer and sponsor of the fourth annual NanoEquity Europe conference, the leading forum for nanotechnology and the capital markets, to be held in the Frankfurt Congress Center on November 11 and 12. Organized this year by Deutsche Börse in close cooperation with Nanostart, NanoEquity Europe 2008 is for the first time being integrated as a specialized industry forum into the German Equity Forum, which with over 5,000 participants is the largest capital markets event in Europe.

The program for NanoEquity 2008 will include presentations to investors, analysts and financial service providers by 13 publicly listed and privately held nanotech companies, including Nanostart AG and its portfolio companies in Germany: Holmenkol AG (Heimerdingen), ItN Nanovation AG (Saarbrücken), Magforce Nanotechnologies AG (Berlin) and Namos GmbH (Dresden).

Marco Beckmann, CEO of Nanostart AG, expressed his enthusiasm: “We welcome the integration of NanoEquity into the German Equity Forum. This major event provides the ideal environment to take the critical networking between nanotechnology companies and the capital markets to an entirely new level.”

The popular NanoEquity Europe conference has already proved to be a model for success transfer. In late May of this year, Nanostart organized the first NanoEquity Asia conference in Singapore, which met with an extremely enthusiastic reception. With the increasing importance of nanotechnology in the Asian region and the growing activities of Nanostart from its new offices in Singapore, this was a logical next step.

In parallel with the NanoEquity 2008 industry forum, Nanosolutions – the leading European trade fair for current nanotech applications – will likewise be held in the Frankfurt Congress Center from November 11 to 13. Admission to one of these two coordinated events will automatically include free admission to the other.

In addition to Nanostart AG, NanoEquity Europe is sponsored by such renowned market participants and institutions as Close Brothers Seydler AG, Steubing AG, and the Hessen-Nanotech Initiative of the Ministry of Economics of the German State of Hesse.
