Salt Lake City, UT – February 20, 2007 - BioMicro® Systems announces the appointment of Rob Parry as Vice President of Manufacturing, responsible for expanding the company's manufacturing operations to meet the high demand for the MAUI® Hybridization System product line.
BioMicro Systems is a private company that serves the life sciences community by developing and marketing biological research products based on its proprietary microfluidic and microarray technologies.
Mr. Parry has held top level manufacturing positions in several instrument and consumable businesses. Most recently, he established and expanded the manufacturing operations for Nanosys, Inc., a leading nanotechnology company. As Vice President of Manufacturing at Fluidigm, a microfluidics start-up, and prior to that at Agilent Technologies in the DNA microarray business, Mr. Parry successfully developed and scaled-up commercial production for two completely novel technologies. His innovative and effective leadership delivered cost effective processes with consistent high quality and availability of products.“I am excited to have Rob Parry in a pivotal role at BioMicro Systems as we implement an aggressive growth strategy targeting a broader customer base,” stated Michael Feldman, Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer of BioMicro Systems. “He brings extensive experience in both DNA microarrays and microfluidics forming an excellent fit with the BioMicro Systems growing product line.”
