Frankfurt am Main, July 3, 2006 - Nanostart AG has appointed Peter Ensel as Head of Financial Markets. Ensel who prior to this had been Head of the Equity Trading division at Commerzbank AG will be responsible with immediate effect for the activities of Nanostart AG and its portfolio companies on the capital market. In future, the capital market activities of Nanostart AG will be grouped together inter-divisionally in the newly-created Financial Markets division.

In his new position, Peter Ensel will be responsible for the entire capital market business of Nanostart AG and its portfolio companies. Besides future IPOs, this also includes in particular supporting the already listed shareholdings in sustaining added value within the context of shareholder value.

Peter Ensel, born in 1959, has been Head of Equity Trading at Commerzbank AG since 2000. Ensel can look back on nearly 25 years of professional experience in the financial sector. Ensel has already demonstrated his excellent leadership qualities as, among other things, Managing Director of a Frankfurt based securities trading company and from 1994 to 1999 as Head of Equity Trading at Frankfurter Sparkasse.
