Frankfurt am Main - A German portfolio company of Nanostart AG intends to go public this year. The portfolio company has assigned an investment bank to launch the shares for trading at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

"At the moment, we are not only working on examining and selecting new, highly-promising investments but are also focussing on - among other things - successful realization of IPOs for our portfolio companies."

The intended listing of one of its German portfolio companies at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange underlines Nanostart AG's claim to be the first choice for young nanotechnology companies from Germany in search of a finance partner. "For us it is important to show companies in Germany that the possibilities exist again here locally to create new, innovative products from simple ideas and thus influence and change existing markets", says Marco Beckmann who sees the listing as a signal. "The backing of our financial support as well as our know-how makes us the right partner for nanotechnology companies keen to use the potential of this technological revolution for commercial products."

Nanostart AG is able to give the best possible support for a successful IPO to its portfolio companies as it can draw on a global network in the finance industry through its Financial Services division. Nanostart AG's capital market competence also makes the company unique compared to other nanotechnology investment companies.

Nanostart AG expects trade at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange to commence in the fourth quarter 2005.
