The supervisory board of Nanostart AG is made up of highly renowned figures in the worlds of business and technology who are actively involved in all strategic decisions.

Dr. Alfred Krammer, born 1972, is an attorney within the areas of business, company and capital markets law.
Following his studies in law at the Ludwig Maximilian University in Munich and his legal clerkship, he received his doctoral degree in law from the Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg in 2002 with a dissertation on "Internet brokerage – questions of (international) investor and consumer protection.”
Dr. Krammer began his professional career with the New York law firm of Dr. Grewe & Partner LLP, then joined the auditing and tax firm of Schneider + Partner GmbH in 2003 as an attorney. Dr. Krammer has served as managing director of the law firm Petersen Krammer Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH since 2005.
In addition to his role on the supervisory board of Nanostart AG, Dr. Krammer holds other board and advisory positions.
Prof. Dr. Wolfgang M. Heckl, born 1958, is one of the leading scientists in the field of nanotechnology, both in Europe and worldwide. Having himself studied under the tutelage of Nobel Prize winner Gerd Binnig, Prof. Heckl lives in Munich where he has been teaching at the Ludwig Maximilian University (LMU) since 1993 as professor for experimental physics. He received his doctoral degree at the Institute for Biophysics of the Technical University of Munich following his general studies in physics. He subsequently completed post-doctoral work at the University of Toronto and at the University of Toyko.
Prof. Heckl is a highly acclaimed figure within the world of nanotechnology, with over 150 scientific publications to his credit – including on high-resolution scanning probe microscopy and on nanoscience – along with a large number of lectures, patents within the area of optics and nanotechnology, and distinctions such as the 2002 Communicator Prize of Stifterverband für die Wirtschaft, a German business foundation.
Heckl is involved in scientific cooperation networks – such as the Excellence Network NanoBioTechnology – and centers of excellence such as the Center for NanoScience and the GeoBioCenter at LMU. He has also served as general director of Germany’s largest science museum, Munich’s renowned Deutsches Museum, since 2004.
Achim Lindner, born in 1961, is the solely authorized director (CFO) of Börsenmedien AG in Kulmbach. After his studies of business administration in 1987 he was working in leading positions for several renowned companies. Since he became director of Börsenmedien AG in 1999, he is responsible for the whole commercial department whereas his focus lies on financing, accounting, controlling and human resources. Within the company group he is also responsible for the investment controlling and financing. Achim Lindner is also member of the supervisory boards of flatex AG, CeFDex AG and Deutsches Anleger Fernsehen (DAF AG).
